Powerhouse Arts District Neighborhood Association Responses from Mayoral Candidate Jerramiah Healy We are well aware that PADNA and our Administration have not seen eye to eye on several issues. We appreciate PADNA''s advocacy and have been respectful of our differences. We hope that in the future, we will be able to work together on important issues like renovating the Powerhouse. We think it more productive to discuss The Healy Administration position on the Powerhouse Arts District in general. The Healy Administration has taken bold steps to transform the Powerhouse Arts District into a vibrant destination for the visual and performing arts. We believe that forthcoming projects like Rem Koolhass' stunning piece of architecture at 111 First Street the theater and cafe lined plaza at Provost Square will create a street level vibrancy that will be good for the neighborhood and great for Jersey City. We have entered into an agreement with the Port Authority to relocate the substation at the Powerhouse and we are absolutely committed to seeing this architectural masterpiece, saved, stabilized and rehabilitated into a beautiful location for people to dine, listen to music and visit galleries.
